When lockdown and wearing masks first became a thing, before it all seemed normal? Those were the days.

I think about how surreal the beginning of it was. But hey, life quickly adapts.

It felt like being in one of the disaster day movies.

As a grocery store worker, it was definitely weird.

But I didnt get to quarantine, so my life was literally unchanged by this \_()_/

even if people were turning into biting zombies last year, we'd probably adapt (as long as the majority remain sane)

it's still weird but people treating it like it doesn't exist is far weirder.

Man going into the grocery store that Friday before lockdown. Felt like the world was ending everyone jamming shit into their carts half the shelves were empty.

It never really changed much for me. Wearing masks was already normal here.

I've been working through the pandemic since day one, so aside from constant mask usage and people close in my life having COVID, not much has changed.

Yeah wearing mask is such a non-issue where I was born, so in US I had 0 problem with it and was confused why there was such a fight back (I mean I know the root, but I dunno why it still exists). Also discomfort can be fought with like a little bit of patience

I pretty much went straight from "this is gonna be a nothingburger like SARS / swine flu / etc" to taking it real seriously, so didn't really have the "this is weird" phase.

I remember thinking near the start, at least things should be opened back up in time for Tenet and Hella Mega Tour. How naive I was.

Being Floridian, seeing people panic and lose their collective shit isnt anything new. It was surprising to see the lockdown happen, but that was about it.

Then I got to suffer through COVID twice while still homeless. That was fun /s

It felt so weird going into Wal Mart today and seeing half the population hasn't changed it's tune at all regarding social distancing or anything.
