I'm about to sit down and try to play some more, I never played the original so I am pretty lost atm. I beat Tower Knight, and have made it to Spider Bitch and only done one try there

I don't feel like i'm really in a spot that I can grind out souls, and feel weak in general

My first play through of the original I remember struggling a lot with the spider. You can always go to other areas as well.

Its probably the most broken game in the souls series

You can beat it unarmed fairly easily if you know what's coming.
