On April 2nd, they're showing Godzilla vs Kong, Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla, and Godzilla vs Megalon. On April 9th, they're gonna be showing Godzilla vs Kong, Destroy All Monsters, and Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla.

If I go this weekend, I'll be outdoors in 49 degree weather and it'll end on arguably the worst Godzilla movie (that's not directed by Roland Emmerich). If I go next weekend, it will be warmer and end on a better movie. But everyone else will have seen Godzilla vs Kong before I do.

Decisions, decisions.

Pretty odd that they're not saving the new one for the last showing

It wasn't even a proper Godzilla movie. It started out as a Jet Jaguar movie before they decided mid-production to add Godzilla to the plot. The fight at the end is fun, but the movie is mostly waiting around to get to that point.

I still have a soft-spot for it. It was the first Godzilla movie I owned a copy of. But that doesn't mean it isn't the weak link. Even Godzilla's Revenge had more interesting characters and less of a wait time between action sequences.

Few people stay for the entirety of a triple feature. They want to make sure that everyone gets a chance to see the movie they came to see.

I will give Godzilla vs Megalon credit for slipping nudity into a G-rated movie. The censors apparently didn't notice that the bad guys lined their pickup truck with pages ripped from a nudie magazine.

Terror of Mechagodzilla also just has straight up tits in it (though they are fake). I was surprised when I was watching the Criterion bluray set last year.

Only the Japanese language version though. That's my favorite Godzilla movie outside of the first one.

We all know the 98 Godzilla movie is the worst one, if you even consider it a Godzilla movie

Which is why I specified it was the worst not directed by Roland Emmerich. If there's one positive thing I can say about the movie, it's that it means none of the Toho films have to be the worst Godzilla movie.

Been to Shelbyville. Haven't been to Skyline. I do love how we have like the most drive-ins in the U.S. though. >_>
