That's why athletics will be quickly abandoned entirely. Football and basketball are about the only ones that bring in any money, and those may not be able to subsidize the sports nobody cares about and/or the schools are legally mandated to have, if everyone has to be paid now.

The next lobbying push will likely be to end Title IX, so that basketball and football are all the schools will actually have.
