ped for Weed possession, consumption, etc?

Probably isn't happening with Diamond Joe but maybe by 2040, weed will be legalized at a federal level

I think it should be legal and any prior possession charges that would fall under the new laws as legal should be dropped, but not other related crimes since you were breaking the law...we generally dont just forgive and forget just cuz opinions changed. You still did the action against the authority that was in place.

Just an ex of what I mean there is like if you were driving under the influence of alcohol at .08 and you blew a .09 but then the law changed and made legal to drive at .1. Shouldnt matter, as you were doing an action that was illegal beyond simply consuming the alcohol.

Yes, except for charges relating to commercial supply to underage people. (By "commercial" I mean like, if a 18 year old shared a joint with his 17 year old mate and got busted, or even small-scale sold to his friends, that should be erased, but if some dude was going around selling to any random kid who wanted to buy, nah, that conviction stays.)

I dont know why I voted the second option. I didnt read it correctly. I vote the first option they deserve compensation. And they deserve job opportunities or even college paid for them. At least some free weed because if anyone deserves it its them.

ideally speaking the top option, but i'd be fine with any of the first three. Option 4, 5 and 6 would be acceptable to me as a compromise first step, as long as we're still aiming for full legalization.
