I know some people dislike THUG2 and/or would say 3 is the best, but there is a strong argument to be made that Tony Hawk games improve every single release from 1 to THUG2. That's 5 games after the first one.

Is there any other series with a longer streak?

THUG2 was the best game in the series. The storyline, the Jackass references...it was just really well done.

Edit: and the gameplay of course, but that goes without saying. Maps were fantastic.

I agree. Say what you want about the Jackass/Viva La Bam story, but THUG 2 was the peak of THPS gameplay. It felt so fluid and easy while still having a challenge. I liked American Wasteland, but something just felt off and it was a step down. It felt too easy and loose.

T2 had classic mode too, which was awesome and made it more replayable.

3 and 4 don't quite reach THPS2 for me. It's super close, but 2 juuuust edges it.

There was a hell of a long run before there was a legit bad TH game, though.
