Like there's a whole hodgepodge of gods you see portrayed in Journey to the West, but it's not seen as mythology like we see with the Greeks. You have people with little figures of these gods, like the god of fortune, etc. And it's commonly referred to in language but none of them get special reverence aside from Guanyin.
