The point you're supposed to be getting is that society at large is benefitted a large portion more then not benefitted from police presence to the point that actively removing police from the equation (which an alarmingly large number of people here seem to support) would actively harm society to a great degree. If the sharks are gone theres no one to protect the remora so they all get eaten.

Yes Im going to learn about society from a kid that couldnt even beat a Pokmon game.

The majority of the time the only kind of people who have those kind of problems are.... *gasp* bad people? If thugs are gonna thug then people gotta realize that cops are gonna cop.

theres no excuse for a 25 year veteran to mistake their firearm for a taser.

There is an excuse its just a terrible one that doesnt justify what happened. Cops are undertrained. This is another example of what happens when you give a group of people the right to use force on the general population but have very low expectations of what they are supposed to know.

when youre a rookie its an excuse and still a terrible one.

when youre a 25 year veteran, theres zero excuse, good or bad.

and yes I 100% agree. And its almost worse in major cities like in NY where the standards to become a cop are so low and there is basically zero evaluation on cops to either fire them or retrain them if they suck.

If this is directed towards me, that's not my reaction to the shooting, that's my reaction to the senseless looting and crime. Would be curious to see your reaction if this shit went down in your neck of the woods and a bunch of thugs came and started destroying and looting your business or home, acting as if they are justified because someone got shot.

I would be curious as well. I would also be curious as to how close this is. As in have they ever had a family member beaten and then jailed? I have. (Jailed family member was seriously injured but in a cell with a man critically injured.)

What the "righteous" in this topic are calling "anger" is SELF-LOVE, NARCISSISM, holier-than-thou. As in "we have become part of the problem but we are justified."
