Each day I'll select 10 random characters from the Nintendo wiki (using https://nintendo.fandom.com/wiki/Special:Random ), and whichever gets the most votes gets a slot on B8's Smash Bros. roster

• Special exception: If the random page lands me on a game that doesn't have a page for its characters, I'll just take the main character from that (or the closest thing I can find to a main character).
• Special exception #2: Sometimes RNG wants something that's not a character to be in the poll, and if that happens, so be it.
• Special condition #3: In the case of a tie, both characters will get in but the 2nd character will be an echo of the first.

Yesterday saw the much-loved Chrono Trigger finally get the rep it really deserved, just barely beating Bubsy in the process.

Today on deck we have a classic match of Zelda v. Final Fantasy, with a major antagonist vs a major protagonist, though they're here competing with a doctor, the entire country of Sweden (which has a page on the Nintendo wiki for some reason), a weird zoo Katamari thing, a boatman, a Fire Emblemer, a gen 1 Pokemon, and two minor Mario spinoff creatures.

yes

the only pages I've excluded are
1. things that are already in smash
2. random developers/voice actors because it would be funny once and then they'd just take up spots in like every poll (maybe I'd make an exception if someone like Reggie or Miyamoto came up but I've yet to get anyone that level)
3. things that just don't and can't make any sort of sense (ex. a level of a game)

arguably Sweden would fit into that last category but in 350 poll entries now that's the only option of that type to ever come up so it was too good to exclude
