That seems pretty indisputable, the dispute is on whether you think that's a good thing or not. Why not go ahead and ask most of Central and Latin America whether the US is big and bad as you seem to be implying it's not? Ask their indigenous peasant activists and democratically elected socialist leaders. Oh wait, they're all dead... Surely you'd succeed if you asked in Africa, or Asia. It makes sense that the idea of workers from the global south joining together with socialists from the US to build a less exploitative system sounds far fetched to you.
