The issue has been figured out for awhile. They've been putting out more ammo than they ever have before. It just can't keep up with the demand from paranoid nuts that keep buying it up to store it. There's also the scalpers which have popped up everywhere now

Anti gun brigade out in force today.

A gun is a force equalizer that gives the weak and disenfranchised the ability to defend themself against the largest attackers. Being anti gun is saying that they shouldnt have that power and be more open to subjugation.

On topic, its because of scalpers and people panic buying. Its not going to stop for a long time.

My best rec is to invest in oddball calibers. The ammo is still not cheap, but you can still find it.

They kind of are. If you pick up the casing you can get then made for you at a cheaper cost. My dad used to have me go case hunting when we would shoot. Of course this is during the ceasefire period and never ever down range. Only those that landed behind us.

The military is buying it all up directly from manufacturers. There seems to be an extreme scarcity of the rounds they use (9mm and 5.56). This is very concerning because... why do they need so much ammo? Are we about to get into another war that they citizens disagree with? We cant afford to keep putting so much money into the military.

Theyre selling bullets for like $1 apiece. This shit is outrageous.

Theres way too much disappearing. This is in every city and state. Every gun show. The only people who can bully the manufacturers is the military, and thats where its going.

we are currently living a perfect storm of shit. you have democrats in power wanting gun control at every step which spurs panic buying. on top of that you have an influx of 5-8million NEW gun owners hit in 2020-now. plus the ammo makers tend to make government contracts first priority.

for the most part its just suply and demand. ammo makers are pumping out more than ever, but its hard ot keep up with just how many gun owners are out there.
