This stuff is not surprising. It's not just a black thing either. I've had to deal with these people wrongly and there are very terrible people out there. You can think otherwise and they will prove you wrong time and time again. It's also both republicans and liberals who are doing these things. I know what i went through. That is the actual truth.

I really don't understand why people find it baffling that in a country of 300 million people bad shit is bound to happen fairly often.

That doesn't mean cops who act outside of the bounds of the law shouldn't be held accountable. But this notion that shit like this will just cease to happen is just really fucking naive

I agree it's bound to happen but seriously what iw ent through the past several years. When it happens constantly over and over again and they never realize a thing. I'm not saying all people are bad either. But it's not how peple say it is in the news. People have agendas. It's liberals. It's white people. It's black people. It's republicans. It's alot of people. And some of them are just fed up themseles and can't see the forest through the trees. They are paranoid themselves and the stuff they assume is ridiculous.

Other times its great. The police can be really great and mind their own business. Other times they are doing things they shouldn't be. There are people with agendas in the media as well on both sides. .

There are good people out there but there are also very selfish people too.

There's a roughly estimated 50 million police interactions with citizens every year in this country. Even if a cop somewhere in the us murdered an innocent unarmed person every single day, that's a 1 in 137k chance that you're gonna be wrongly shot by the police.

In the world of statistics we call that pretty good odds.

There's way more interactions with police in poor neighborhoods. Many of those neighborhoods are largely black, especially in metropolitan cities.

Which is far more of a problem than racist cops who want to murder black teenagers.

So the issue with this line of thinking is this: there are white rural towns that have just as much, if not more crime than urban areas. Meth, opiods, domestics, illegal weapons, though not so much gang violence though.
The difference is that those small towns have very small police forces, so they aren't rolling through the areas looking for people to arrest in the same way Saint Louis, Chicago, and LA police departments are. What it does is create a false narrative that there is more crime in urban areas. When really it's there is always more crime in poor and underdeveloped communities.

There are more people in urban areas. More people inherently means more crime

Also "way up" makes it sound like it's exponential, it's not. It's definitely disproportionate, mostly for the reason I said above. But it's not wildly disproportionate.

officer told him to drop the gun while he was on his phone without a gun with a 911 operator.

note: he said he was gonna kill his brother on the 911 recording but later he told them he didnt have a gun and to get their quick.

then the cop told em to drop the gun while he was on the phone with 911. Apparently the cop thought the phone was a gun. You can even hear the cop say get the gun away from your head.
