That's just the way it goes.

The layers of artifact rng are easily the most obnoxious thing about this game. Winning the cointoss on it being the right set, the 1/5 chance of it being the right piece, rolling the right main stat, having at least 1 good substat, and getting high rolls on the % values those stats can roll. Then one final layer once leveling begins hoping to reveal/target a desired stat.

Thankfully, the game is accessible enough that even if all of that works against you, you can still be fine.

I dont think Ive gotten 4 stats on the other artifacts there either. Massively unlucky this week. A new Special Event is up, but theres not much to it. Just do the daily tasks listed and RNG will paint the picture for you piece by piece. This patch has been pretty great so far overall.

Got 7*s on floor 10. How the fuck can I kill the Cryo cube faster. That goddamn thing wastes so much of my time since it manages to barricade itself twice. At least I got close to a perfect clear, but only 1* on the third part entirely because of dumb cube.

What was your team comp vs the cube?

Silver lining in this is that since you cleared the previous 2 floors, you can laser focus a team specifically for dealing with the cube quickly. I'd recommend melt or superconduct depending on your unit selection.

If it is the mechanics and timing that are the issue, perhaps practice on the cube in dragonspine for a bit and rack up some bonus boss kills for the battlepass.

Fairly certain it was Diluc, Venti, Qiqi (for healing) and Eula. Not the most ideal group for an ending that results in the ice cube.

I mostly just whacked it with Hu Tao, but that's an unfair expectation. Since you got Diluc, he should be a match if well built. Perhaps another pyro for resonance and battery? Venti's not gonna do much for it, though I hear that you can aim shot the balls back to the cube with an archer rather than running around with melee (so long as you're targeting the ball's back half)...might save shave some seconds off.

My Diluc probably isnt built well enough because he feels slow at dealing with it even at C1. Just way too many damn characters to get artifacts for and shit drops ruining it all 90% of the time lol

Whats the main difference between all the shields anyways? Like I get that Zhonglis is basically the best, but what difference is there if any in the shields Noelle, Xinyan and Diona provide?

Ignoring the obvious strength factor, since that heavily depends on gear, mostly just elements. A cryo shield will better resist cryo damage. Also, certain effects are enabled with the shield up, like Noelle's heal-on-hit.

Noelle's will explode when it runs out for considerable damage if you focus on her some and have her C4. She will also take less damage overall due to high defense. She can also generate it when off the field once a minute if a character gets beat up enough.

Diona is also pretty competitive since her shield scales off what you want to focus on her anyway, so her shields tend to be pretty good, and she can do cryo things for all the team comps that want that element. Worth mentioning that Sacrificial Bow = 2 e casts which is a lot of shieldage.

Beidou...I lack enough experience with, but you generally aren't building her for shield strength and I don't hear about any Beidou shield builds. It is more of a fun bonus you get than what a true shielder would provide.

Xinyan is in a similar boat as Beidou. Her scaling is a little better on paper, but you're just not going to scale her defense enough to make it matter. Pretty sure this leads to her being considered as the weakest shielder and really a lackluster unit on the whole. Which is a shame, but maybe one day Mihoyo will give her the polish she deserves.

Basically, if you're serious about shielding, Noelle and Diona are your best bets unless you have Zhongli.

Supposedly Crossplay between mobile, PC and console is coming in 2.0. Doesnt mean anything to me, but some people might like to take their Genshin mobile when theyre away from PC/console

Damn got 8*s for floor 10. 1 extra star compared to last time, but still like 1.5 mins short of the 3* clear I think. This time I used

Diluc/Qiqi/Fischl/Xiangling for the cube
Ganyu, Noelle, Eula & Hu Tao for the Frost Lawachurl

Getting closer at least, but probably need to try different teams again.

And maybe use Jean instead of Qiqi

I have plenty of time! I could at least get a decent amount of stuff fairly quickly. I can beat the Noblesse Domain in Under a minute. Without resin I could do that like 60 times in an hour!

Still faster than a couple runs a day! I dont need perfect artifacts. Just getting decent ones would be nice. Im still trying for Noblesse set for Diona. 90% of the time I get the other artifact and I still dont have a 5* piece for one of the 5 types. RNG will RNG, but if it cost nothing to run I got all the time in the world to try for them.

I've noticed a lot of people recommending Noblesse for Diona. Maybe it's how I use her, but I kinda gotta wonder...why? You're obviously not getting the 2-piece because her damage is poo, so it's a matter of popping the 4-piece for the attack boost, but...I only ever use her burst when I need healing. Does it create a regular enough cryo effect to warrant using it for, say, a freeze comp? I'm aware there are effects when standing in the field, but I feel like those are bonuses rather than something you build around.

The people I've seen who use Noblesse on Diona are p much popping her ult on CD, because, yeah, it does apply a lot of cryo effects.

Finally made some Condensed Resin today. 4 of them in fact. These boost your stuff at domains if I remember right? Not counting on any better luck with them, but well see >_>

They cost 40 resin, and they are like spending 40 resin in one domain instead of 20 -- you get literally double results. They don't save or boost anything. Some people use them daily as a means for reducing the number of domain runs they have to do by half, and other people hoard them like fragile resin for a day when they want to go nuts.

They're a convenience thing. Have a day you don't really want to log in? Hop on for one second and blow your resin on four condensed. Have an annoying domain to farm? Cut that in half. Have a specific talent book you need a ton of? Save up today's resin to spend tomorrow when you need it.

Traveler was really the worst character gameplay design wise. Gonna be capable of all the major elements all of which will use different artifact and talent builds....just why. Who is gonna fully invest in that. It should be fun to have a MC who can use all the elements, but it will be a nightmare grind wise

I just have him with 2pc Glad/Noblesse for the Flower/Feather/Sands/Circlet and just rotate the Goblet for whatever and call it a day.

Conventional wisdom says to forego set bonuses for main stats. If you just don't have any other phys dmg cups, your luck is even worse than you purport it to be.

Id have to check, but its quite rare for me to get an anything DMG bonus cups. Like I am not kidding when I say probably 70% of my artifacts are DEF and HP main stats with HP and DEF sub stats. My artifact box is full again and its like 95% 5* artifacts not worth using >_>
