"Certain" may be too strong of a word, but I don't believe there are any gods. There is simply no testable evidence. Even if a God does exist, there is too much chaos and suffering inflicted on innocent people to warrant worship and praise.

Based on the entire history of humanity so far, there's no particular reason to believe it's anything other than the silly pattern seeking part of our brains personifying that which we don't understand. The current conception of that is personifying the universe and existence itself because we'll never truly comprehend them. You technically cannot prove one doesn't exist, but that is pretty much just silly semantics.

I think you can logically deduce that their is a creator, whether a God, simulation maker, etc. There's 2 main things I've thought about:

1. The existence of everything to begin with. The big bang doesn't really make any sense with our understanding of physics. Not the explosion itself, but how the infinitely dense particle came to be in the first place.

2. How life began. Even after Earth was formed, all it was was dead rock and water. A lightning bolt hit rock and formed proteins? Even if that's possible, what teaches that protein to self replicate, and then evolve into complex creatures?

I understand that we are still learning new things through science, but I don't see those mysteries ever being solved. And I don't believe that complexity can be created naturally, there was some kind of design involved.

It's literally however you want to define it. Most people automatically assume the Judeo Christian God from the Abrahamic religion (which was so obviously man made). It's why I dislike getting into the intelligent design argument on the internet.

Anyways for me, it's a big no to the Judeo Christian God. If there is an intelligent designer, I highly doubt it's an entity worthy of constant praise and fearing considering its doing a shitty job.

I understand that we are still learning new things through science, but I don't see those mysteries ever being solved. And I don't believe that complexity can be created naturally, there was some kind of design involved.

I believe the big bang was caused by GOD. Lons of exacerbated when it is said that at first there was nothing and then there was light. To me I feel that perfectly describes the big bang and it was foretold centuries ago. Genesis in my opinion is the creation of the universe in general. Days can be translated as ages/epoch. Even then, what is a day to GOD?

Personally I feel it was when our planeted collided with another and formed the moon. Some how this formed the molecules for life and the gravitational force created by the moon helped form it as well. The moisture from the gases that escaped the core was the material.

Now I don't believe GOD took like a paint brush and jsut created things. He created the laws of the land and nature formed through it. The big bang set a huge rugoldberg machine into effect. GOD just nudged things here and there but the universe slowly created itself under his rule and law. I believe there is a passage talking about atoms obeying GOD'S commands. I'll have to find it again.

But these are just my crack pot christian theories.

I understand where your coming from. I'm a christian and the argument can go both ways honestly. Sometimes I try to have a good debate and it jsut devolves into "uh huh GOD ain't realz!" Or if I'm trying to debate the bible with other Christian's they get into a "but but the bible always sayz!".

For me GOD is more then just the bible. You can't really quantify him into soemthing so small. Yes it is very important in learning about GOD but it isnt the end all be all. I feel Christian's don't do enough critical thinking into why GOD had certain rules. I always think of the bible as a parent teaching kids what to do and not to do. Example would be pigs and split hooved beasts. They had a lot of diseases and if it was cooked wrong you get very sick. GOD banned them to protect people, but couldn't explain the details of diseases and why because it was beyond their comprehension at the time. Parents usually just tell their child what to do and don't explain things that they feel the child wouldn't understand. So they just say don't do it.

The laws that GOD placed with the Israelites wasn't ever supposed to be forever and he only passed the laws because they begged GOD to give them laws. GOD eventually wanted us to create our own laws based on GOD's decisions, believing we would eventually understand why they were in place and what the goal and accomplishment was.

Anywyas I'm getting into a huge rant I'll shut up on my crackpot christian theories for now lol
