I hate being an adult because this is interesting conversation

The middle class is pretty squeezed I guess. Idk I hear that all the time.

Prop taxes went up like 10% for me last year.

Although COVID happened, I fully expect them to raise them again this year. They most certainly wont be going down.

Man I wish my mortgage + property taxes was only under $2k.

It started out as $1804 when we bought the house in 2019. Taxes barely went up last year but this year for some damn reason they shot up a shitload.

idk how this shit works, apparently Im now paying for the increase from 2020? So next years bump wont be so bad I guess.

My mortgage payment went up about $100 in 4 years. $60 increase in one year seems high.

iirc there was some big school bond thing and we got annexed into the city last year so guessing thats why it went up so much.

only positive to the annexation I can think of is people cant park on both sides of the street anymore. Holidays were a bitch.

If you haven't refinanced this year jump on that shit now.

My payments from from about $2250 to $1850 just by refinancing.

Property tax is absurd. My family owns 10 acres of undeveloped pasture-land, and the county appraisals year-over-year increases have been utter insanity. Granted, it does lie just outside a highly desirable DFW suburb, but still.

Property taxes are insane in Texas. I had a buddy that moved from Aurora CO to Mckinney TX and he said that the houses are cheaper but the property tax is like three times as high.

My mortgage was close to 3k a month. I refinanced last summer and knocked off $400 a month.

my property taxes are at or close to 14k a year.

Gotta love NJ.

I wish my escrow was $550. I'm paying roughly $1k a month in property taxes. NJ sucks.

Holy crap!

In my county your house would have to be worth 2 million $ to pay that much in taxes!
