Oh and one more thing. My initial argument was never about supply and demand so I don't know why your brought up S&D, I just thought the demand for the PS5 would be less because it's more expensive than the PS4 at launch, and the economy is in the tank because of COVID. It turns out the PS5 is the fastest selling console in gaming history. Also I assumed more consumers would turn to the PC for convenience, but for some reason consumers are not still exclusively gaming on the PC despite console makers continue to be more anti-consumer after every generational release.

ive been saying it from the beginning, it doesnt even seem like there are any worthwhile games to get yet. why not just hold onto your money til they release something worthwhile?

I'm not trolling. If it bothers you that I'm responding you can stop replying at anytime. In fact that's what I did two days ago, but then I guess you got so angry over those two days you had to come back and respond again.

Personally once my client gets here I'll probably forget again and stop posting, but until then I've got free time and this gives me something to do.

No you brought up supply and demand first when my first response to Darmik had nothing to do with supply and demand. Darmik brought up the sales of the PS5 which I didn't know about, and it turned out the PS5 was the fastest selling console at launch. I simply talked about the anti-consumer practices of console makers which has gotten worse since the PS3/360 days. Talking about the market of the video game industry and what consumers want has nothing to do with economics, the fact that you brought up economics just proves you don't know what you are talking about.

I don't have a weird hatred for a handheld system. The 3DS is a really bad handheld despite having some good games.

Early adopters always cause a launch rush. However, PS5 also has a severe scalping issue.
Bots weren't quite as mature for the PS4 launch.

IDK, for me I haven't been excited about a launch since PS2. I think going through 2 PS2's within the first 2 years due to the dreaded 'disc read error' issue put a bad taste in my mouth (the 3rd is still kicking tho!), which was further compounded by the RROD issues with the 360.... I went through 2 of those as well.

I wasn't excited for PS3 really at all, as I felt that the PS2 had more to give, devs were really just figuring out how to get the most out of the system before the push to PS3. I also didn't really care about any of the exclusives other than MGS4. I ended up not getting a PS3 until about 2010, and I didn't get a PS4 until 2015. I have no plans to get the PS5 anytime soon.
