Spoilers just in case anyone actually cares - Fat Buu has the Grand Supreme Kai's soul and personality awakened in him temporarily. He lost the god energy he used to have because Kid Buu ended up with it after they split, though he couldn't use it. The GSK helps Uub utilize his latent energy to send a massive power boost for Goku to absorb and finish off the bad guy.
