No i just lay on my bed or sit on couch all day. Im very frail. I remember i tried squatting with those bar things without any weight and it hurt my shoulders.

my routine when I try to gain is basically SL 5x5

6ft, usually around 75kg starting weight, 3000~kcal a day (170g protein)

I gain a bunch of fat up to 80kg and I dont really get stronger, after that my blood pressure goes up and I get dad bod.

Ive done about 5 cycles of this over the last 8 years (with various changes to my program to no effect).

Ive had blood works done twice and the doctors say everything is okay.

Right now Im cutting to 70kg because I cant think of anything else to do. I suspect anabolic resistance may be the cause of my issues, my weight was very low growing up so Im trying to reset the clock and start again. Hopefully I respond better to exercise after this cut.

How much stronger have you gotten in that timeframe?

I guess it's worth pointing out that there's a lot of natural variation in how people respond to resistance training. I'm more just curious

Oh wow, this is complicated. Sorry dude. I thought you might just be someone who eats whatever and doots around on the smith machines for half an hour, but sounds like you're putting in the work :(

Hope you figure out whatever is going on.

I cant remember my starting lifts

my lifts now are
BP: 110kg x 5
DL: 130kg x 5
S: 100kg x 5

the ratios are weird, I think my bench is high because the other lifts are affected by anterior pelvic tilt or some other posture problem

in any case these arent the lifts of someone whos been at it for the last 8 years lol

Not consistently. I definitely need to get a regular schedule and yoga as well. I'm almost down 20lbs over the last couple of months, but I need to make sure everything ain't too loose >__>

Well I'm sure you've gotten plenty of unsolicited advice so I'm not gonna badger you. And it's hard to argue against blood work.

I know one thing I had to get over when I was bulking was being too sensitive to fat gain. You're going to get fatter if you want to get more muscular unless you're genetically gifted. And you're not necessarily going to feel much stronger week to week or month to month; it's only if you're diligent about tracking your workout progress that you'll see your strength is improving.

I only say this because I'm 5'7" and I got up to almost 86kg (from about 70kg) over the course of 6 months. You're like half a foot taller so I'd think you'd need to go even bigger

Sometimes. I've got a good amount of weights and equipment at home though. When I do go, it's typically on my pull days.

I didn't for a while (thanks COVID) and did some casual stuff with a pullup bar and a set of lightish dumbells as home

In the past month or two, the gym at work has re-opened! It's got a power cage and a lot of equipment and I rock it about twice a week. It's usually empty after work (or there's one other dude in there) so I'll bluetooth connect to the stereo and jam out and lift. It's great
