Basically, the physical copy comes with two discs. Disc 1 is the "play disc" and includes ME1.

It also comes with a second disc that has ME2 and ME3 on it. This disc is entirely optional - if you have a mediocre/bad/non-existent internet connection you can use it to install ME2 and ME3. However, you also have the option to just download them (using Disc 1) if you have a good connection or if you don't want to have to wait for the entire thing to install before you play it.

Apparently this is causing "problems" though because if you own it digital the part you download is only ME1 and then you have to use that to install ME2 and ME3 and I guess some entitled people are like "WhY cAn'T i JuSt InStAlL mE2"

I mean, I guess they could look at making them separate purchases like how yakuza remastered did but why would you blow $60 for just one game of the trilogy <_<

It is! Largely because if you have a good enough internet you can download a game faster than it can install from disc, especially on the PS5.

I dont know why but I have zero motivation to buy this. Maybe its because Ive played through Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 at least 6-8 times back years ago.
