I understand that people from other places want to come to America to improve their lot in life and to work etc but we have Americans who are in need of decent-paying jobs, a nice place to live. good schools for their kids, access to decent healthcare i.e the American Dream.

I'm beginning to see more and more women with kids living on the street or in cars and we as a country need to address homelessness, drug addiction, etc because as it stands now, millions of Americans have lost hope.

It's estimated that nearly half of the country now lives in or near poverty and these are people with full-time jobs.

Somewhat.

Not terribly - since immigrants will pay some local taxes because of how they are structured (sales tax, gas tax, etc.)

If they are willing to come to our country to make a better life, more power to them as long as they can obey our laws and aren't trafficking drugs or people.

they need to build more houses before they come here, it's too expensive

I picked "Very Concerned" because of all the Europeans I see living on unceded First Nations territories. First thing I see every morning is some white guy living on traditional Mohawk territory.

I'm concerned that so many immigrants we want here have to get here illegally. We should do more to make the legal emigration process more efficient.
