Ok, let's try this.

Which one of the 2 riots resulted in more destruction of civilian property, businesses, and overall destruction of POC neighborhoods?
Once again, why are they being compared...?

Answer the question. Or just admit that you're uncomfortable discussing events that destroyed POC neighborhoods.
LMFAO, I literally have no problem condemning the riots and I have on multiple occasions, answer the question? How are they comparable? Why are they being compared?

This is the issue, you're projecting so much, that you think I'm trying to justify BLM's riots while condemning the other. But that's not the case. You're literally just doing whataboutism when you bring up BLM regarding the capitol riot.

I didn't ask you to condemn them in that question.

I asked you, out of the 2 riots. Which one resulted in more destruction of civilian property, businesses, and overall destruction of POC neighborhoods?
I never made the comparison the one was worst than the other though, because there's no reason to. It's almost like they're not and they can be handled as two separate issues. Nice try though.

I don't think racism is a big of a deal that social media says it is.

No, I'm trying to show you the harm in your rhetoric. It took a lot of posts for you to condemn them, and even then you cannot outright show aspects of it that were worse than the Capital Hill riots. You absolutely refuse to.
No it didn't and once again, It's not comparable to the Capitol Hill riots, so you're still wrong. It's two separate events that exist on different ends of the spectrum. The only time they're brought up in comparison is for whatabout-ism to attempt to downplay the Capitol Riots.

But I'm done arguing you're literally just running around in circles looking to bite your tail.

The country started off with the extirpation of Natives and centuries of chattel slavery of Africans and their descendants. Before 1964 literally all white people were legally elevated above all persons of color. We're still dealing with the fallout of the racial caste system that dominated most of our history. We followed up the election of the first black President who had to have squeaky clean credentials with a buffoonish white nationalist whose followers attempted a coup.

You are incredibly naive/sheltered. You have to be blind or deliberately disingenuous to think this.

Far more then 1% is actively racist and a large minority on top of that is biased while not actively malevolent.

What good is an apple whose core is straight up rotten? You can eat the good parts, sure, but if you think leaving that core around will do the rest of the fruit any favors.. well, sorry guy

That being said

Yes, this is a very racist country - in fact our racism is x10 potent than anywhere else because we try and workaround the fact that we co-exist with many other people and still say things around them knowing it'll make a situation uncomfortable just to flex our right to speak

Idk, the good parts of things don't instantly disappear because it has bad parts. And also I think an important part of american history and indeed american culture was the move away from racism. We started out with a slavery that was not that uncommon at the time and we grew out of it. Generally a story of people within each generation working to move the overton window away from racism, and pushing against those who fought it.

It was a lot harder to say "obviously slavery is necessary for the economy, but we still need to treat the slaves with more empathy, humanity, and respect" when slavery was rampant than it is today to say "obviously slavery is completely horrible."

I think we'd do well to put people in their historical context and not just define what they were, but what direction they were pushing in. And if we do that I believe we will find american history to be more of one of society changing for the better.
