I don't know, I think Trumpism is the worst, but then, they're both similar phenomena.

Basically, society promises a lot to men, especially white men. It promises them they'll be powerful, they'll be in charge, they'll be the breadwinners, that they'll get the girl. The way things are, those are promises that society can't really keep. Rather than examine their own faults or the faults of the system, both ideologies(again, they overlap significantly but not entirely) blame "the other". The system would work fine and you would be everything you're supposed to be, if those women/immigrants just knew their place.
This is why they're so powerful: the base grievance is very real. Fewer and fewer people can live comfortably in our societies, and even many of those who make it find making it draining and unsatisfying. Blaming women and minorities is just easier than blaming the power structure you feel entitled to be a part of.

If we're talking about Incel Extremist groups ( for lack of a better term), as in the online groups of incels, yes, they suck. Incels at an individual level, as in people who haven't gotten into a relationship while being ridiculed for not getting into a relationship, do deserve some sympathy.

He has quite a few. And I understand how this happens and can give non-condescending advice ro anyone who wants it. But it almost needs to be individualized.

I also have mental and social disorders (generalized anxiety, Autism) but I manage it through exercise and developing friendships.

It's actually incels that tell people to kill themselves. Anita Sarkeesian, Zoe Quinn, Brianna Wu, Leslie Jones, Kelly Marie Tran, Brie Larson, pretty much everyone involved with making Abby in Last of Us 2, Rian Johnson, Kathleen Kennedy, Anna Gunn, etc.

Being celibate doesn't mean you've never had sex, i.e. you can have had sex in the past and still be an incel.

As far as "We should feel sorry for them" at this point anyone who willingly labels themselves an incel should set off major red flags.

Some of us just don't fit the mold of what most women like. I'm never going to be that assertive dominant guy who chases women. It's a pretty consistent trend that women like confident guys who can take the lead. Yes there are exceptions, but it's very unlikely one meets exceptions if they rarely meet women to begin with since women rarely approach plain dudes and the passive guy rarely approaches by nature.

I'm overweight, I'm mentally and physically disabled, I'm not good looking, I've never had a job, I'm not an assertive dominant type of person. Yet I've never struggled to get attention from women and form relationships. And no my standards aren't low. I've got by on having a lot of empathy and a caring nature. I've got fairly weird interests and passions but it hasn't caused any issues.

Only recently now you don't see a whole lots of posts like that because CE has been very left leaning lately, Trump really helped with that. Back in 2016 you would see incel like posts on CE with people actually agreeing with them and it was being seen as a legit movement. Of course the term incel got the most negative reception when that mass shooting happened and the term got more mainstreamed. You still see small residue of incel like posts, but its much more tamed than what it used to be.

So anyways as for this topic, incel is just a symptom to a bigger problem which ultimately is "gender roles". Men have to be "manly" like never showing emotions and don't seek out help, just "man up" by keeping it to yourself. This also plays a huge role to why suicide rates are higher among men than women as well. You're seeing a lot of this shaming such as things like calling others "soyboy", calling guys who are weak as "cucks" and a lot of derogatory comments to emasculate them. I mean notice the term "chad" seems to have a positive meaning vs "virgin"? I'm glad the times are changing but its slow changes that hopefully make a big difference.

its not very unlikely, you dont know that. Define plain or passive guys. Theres alot factors that go into meeting people, location, distance, trust, insecurity, intention...

Some people met their spouse at social gatherings or meetups or online or accidently, and some have met at jobs or school or a friend of a friend..

In context to my post, it was mostly about CE and why we rarely see anyone come out as an incel. We did back then and most of them leaned heavily right.
