Anyone into games will just have to tolerate this place since so many insiders and devs flock to it like moths to a flame. It is the same as calling someone a transgender, a gay, or a black. You are not considering them as a person and are instead breaking them down to a single characteristic. It is insulting and people often do it intentionally while feigning ignorance. These people never use male in the same fashion. It is clearly meant to be sexist. I (very briefly) dated a girl who was obsessed with social politics and she asked me not to use the word female, then talked about how it's only tied to their ability to reproduce. The girl was extremely openly racist against white people and hated Harry Potter because she claimed she hated trans people.
