Not that well, I must admit. It was a year ago when I first got my license; the proctor was lenient and let me pass even though I had made grave errors that would likely cost me my life if not for other drivers being wiser and having much more experience. These days, I always wake up like I'm exhausted and the world around me just seems like a figurative blur, as if it were not actually real. These feelings of dissociation... how they have been the bane of me for so long. They keep me being mentally in the moment and/or the present; nowadays, everything just feels exactly like white-noise and I am unable to concentrate, take interest in the world around me, and in regards to this topic, pay attention to the road. I mean, sure, I look over my shoulder and across the side-walk and such whenever I come to an intersection that requires me to yield to foot-traffic and wheel-traffic alike. But still, even after having taken these safety precautions, I fear I might have run something important over. It haunts me long after making a turn or proceeding straight; it keeps me focusing on the road ahead of me. I am always fearful of some officer of the law apprehending me for something and pinning a ticket to my wind-shield wiper, because of some mishap I may have overlooked during my driving sessions. Moreover, as a result of my fatigue, I find it easier to slip into the bad habit of skipping some of the safety precautions or else not paying attention to the figurative rhythm of the road, which has on more than one occasion, almost led to an accident that would have cost me thousands of my American dollars. It is quite frightening, really. I can attribute part of this to my tendency to day-dream over-often or sometimes, just dissociate altogether. If it is the latter, then it is a result of my inability to handle my emotional distress properly. For example, if I'm driving in the afternoon, I will find the afternoon, pre-sunset light almost enchanting. But my heart is going to break because I am not able to enjoy it; it's not that I don't like the view, but rather I would only be able to enjoy it in an entirely different locale. It is at these moments, that I sigh wistfully and continue on my delivery duties; generally, looking at some place other than the road is going to put me in an accident anyway. However, I must confess that I cannot tell the difference between day-dreaming and dissociation, which is a cause of concern to be sure. I confess also, to not being able to parallel-park properly. I confess also to being easily disgruntled by drivers on this island pulling idiotic stunts that make me figuratively clutch at my rapidly-beating heart. I admit that I scare easily and that being unable to keep my calm has been a flaw of mine that has been hindering me for who knows how long. I must confess also to doing some risque maneuvers myself, so getting mad at the reckless driving that frustrates me to no end is a bit hypocritical on my part. Lastly, due to my chronic fatigue, I often lose my patience in traffic very easily. In short, I am not a good driver, and I fear losing my vehicle operation privileges anytime soon. On more than one occasion, I try improve on these bad habits of mine, but I often have far too much going on in my head that I forget to focus on the road, which is more than enough to deem me a dangerous driver. In short, I wouldn't exactly call myself a good driver, nor an average driver. I fear and expect to be getting tickets and/or police citations in the mail everyday due to my incompetence as a motorist.

I got into an accident that was completely my fault when I was 17, and I have been a very good driver ever since. Always use my signal, always check my blind spot, use the passing lane correctly, always drive defensively, drive at least two car lengths behind the person in front of me, let people in when Im supposed to and dont when Im not.

bad drivers infuriate me, but I also recognize that they just never got into a car accident when they were young to scare them straight.

Im surprised I read this whole thing, but I did. I recommend using paragraph breaks from time to time.

even after having taken these safety precautions, I fear I might have run something important over.

Yikes

Grew up and trained to drive. Love it.

The daily commute is not driving; what we have to get from point a to point b, is not driving, it's roulette with multi ton death machines.

I will stick to the track.

I've been in two light fender benders (see: going less than 10mph probably) in my life so far. One at 19 where I could be considered at fault because I was driving too fast for conditions, and one at 32 or 33 where it was definitely my fault because I was distracted and not pay the attention I should have been

Probably not that great, although I haven't been in an accident that I was at fault for in about 16 years (and my last accident that wasn't my fault was about 7 years ago). I consider that more luck than anything since I have gotten pulled over for speeding a few times and do run the occasional red light.

That said, I am a way safer driver than I was 15 - 20 years ago.

Pretty good. I used to drift in high school, but that stopped when my friend got trouble with a local Asian gang.

I also have Metrobus certifications 2015-2020 and Metro access(they disabled and elderly buses) certification.
