She was Macedonian, she was also the first of the Ptolemaic rulers who learned to speak Egyptian; in fact, at the age of 21 she was supposed to have spoken 7 different languages and been an accomplished mathematician as well as astronomer. She was also married to her brother, whom she was engaged in a civil war with. The Egyptian people revered her as Isis reborn.

I'm not sure how her complexion was irl, but from the image in the OP, it's subject to the interpretation/bias of the person who put it together.

Personally, I believe the Greek and Macedonian peoples would have had darker skin than that, but I think the features are closer to right than they are to wrong.

It's true that she's from a Hellenistic family that was known for inbreeding rather than mixing with the local population, so it's likely she looked more like a native Greek than a native Egyptian. However, I doubt she was that pale looking. The Egyptian weather alone makes that pretty difficult lol.

Besides, in Roman art women are usually depicted with much lighter skin tones than men. So I don't think this one fresco is strong evidence for her complexion being pale.

Maybe a shade tanner but overall it's probable.

Cleopatra was Greek/Macedonian descended from Ptolemy one of Alexander's generals. She wasn't a native Egyptian nor did her family mix with natives.

I get that she was Greek but still looks too pale imo.

The Ptolemaic rulers weren't native Egyptians - Ptolemy was one of Alexander the Great's generals who got land as part of the splitting up of the conquered lands. Further, the Ptolemaic line was infamous for inbreeding to keep the bloodline "pure" or whatever.
