pinky0926 05/30/21 7:02:11 AM #1:	It's been a weird week. We sat in a pub on sunday last week for 20 minutes, making brief, uninteresting conversation until I couldn't stand it anymore. "We've never been this starved for conversation". Shortly after, we broke up. It was very sad, but mutual, and cordial. This week has progressed almost normal, and certainly less tense than the past few months have been. But definitely sad and surreal. It almost felt like things were back to normal except for jarring interruptions of "I emailed the landlord, they're sending over new lease documents" and "do you want the coffee grinder? It was a gift from kirsty." Today is on me to pack up all my shit and get going, and I almost don't want to start. I know I have to but it feels so ultimately final. Sorry for the blogfaqs. Today is rough. We didn't start dating for a whole year after my break-up which was healthy imo. However, as I was walking through the post-relationship phase I was more aware of what I desired in a partner, and looking back I was more honest with myself about what my previous relationship lacked. Which helped me see those qualities in my wife. I walked away from a guy I nearly married (literally a few days before our wedding). I met my husband 3 months later and realized my ex really wasnt who I wanted. I had just put up with him for other reasons. I wasnt even really myself with him. Meeting my husband helped me realize what it was I was really looking for. I could be 100% me without judgment and it was freeing. Take some time for yourself to heal and really figure out what was lacking and what it is you really need in your life.
