I was assigned to zone all night, that involves putting shit where it belongs

You get yelled at if you take one thing from out of department to where it belongs because you're wasting time

But now at the end of the day this old bitch lectured me about being bad with time because I had a lot of items in my cart at the end of the day

She said "you're taking every little thing that doesn't go where it should"

That is literally my job. That is what I was paid to do tonight.

Why am I so angry? Why am I furious? It's an hourly position. I could've taken a big shit in the vents and I'd still have gotten paid for the day.

When I worked at Walmart i had to zone all day I would fill a cart with stuff I shouldnt have in my dept and leave the cart in the dept it belonged to but I could zone my dept in less than 30 minutes, people that take longer than that are goofing off

I just feel ashamed at the idea that I can't hold down a job, I'm worried how my parents will see it

It also pays better than other unskilled labor

How much are you getting paid? Work what you're paid.
Is working harder going to get you a promotion (with more money)? You're there for the money, not to build up the Walmart empire.

I wrecked myself working hard for bosses who never cared. Don't do that. Work what you're paid, do your job, and don't fret about other people. Try not to let yourself get angry. You can't control your boss. Act like you're stupid and say, "What should I have done?" in a neutral or positive tone. Act like you're a newbie and just do what's expected, not more. If they want you to walk back and forth all night doing nothing, you still get paid. It's ok, try not to stress about it. Try to leave the work at work, you don't get paid to take it home.

If she's not your boss just ignore her, if she's your boss then refer her to your lawyers number see how she reacts to that one
