And while just the fact that so many of the world's epidemics have resulted from the SAME practice in Wuhan which China has done little to stop... scratch that, since now that Trump is out of office the media and government is finally looking into claims that it came from a lab. And if it did come from a lab, China's culpability would be undeniable except to the hardest of #NeverTrumpers who would also blame him if a comet hit the earth.

Otherwise, probably not... You can look at as, "U.S. (or other countries) were most affected in deaths/cases, so they deserve compensation". Thats not true, I forget what the global economy is at, I think something like $70 Trillion. For $10Trillion to be 2 orders higher would have to mean global economy in the order of $100 Billion, and the US economy alone I think might be $15 Trillion GDP.

Is China now a faucet? Countries have always been 'porous' in terms of travel, and disease outbreaks are difficult to predict. Well, I mean epidemiologists pinpointed the source as Wuhan, and there is a biomedical lab there nearby the meat-markets, and I think there are tracers / gene sequences virologists can look at to see if a virus was altered or evolved naturally.

Even if they confirm the virus was Chinese bred, they may not state so publicly in strong terms due to political sensitivity.

Did the world sue the US for the opioid crisis because Purdue's headquarters are located on US soil? No, because that would be silly. They sued Purdue (well, the US did that, but the logic's the same).

The only way to blame China as a whole for a hypothetical lab accident that released Covid would be if it were a government-run lab and you could prove that they failed to do their due diligence in securing it. If the lapse in security was because the security company they hired failed to live up to their contract, that's that company's fault. If the breach happened because somebody working at the lab failed to follow protocols in which they were trained, that's that individual's fault. And so on. There are many levels at which such a thingcould have happened, many of which cannot be described as "China" as a whole.

a) the sciencenews one? 'when we were still trying to figure it out'...did you read the article? They sequenced it. It developed naturally. This disproves your MAY have been tweaked statement. That would show up. It didn't. Not much point spending days, weeks, months dwelling on it.

b) like I said, the probability is so extremely low, it's a joke to say "I personally think it probably did". It's extremely shortsighted. Well aware. Biden's task-force is a hilarious combination of an uninformed media informing an uninformed public informing uninformed politicians who want to satiate the public. As I said previously, major media outlets have done a complete piss job of most COVID related stories. Wow, major media outlets are treating it as a very real possibility? Might that have to do with creating a certain level of paranoia for people to latch onto and continue funding their cyclical 24-hour news nonsense? I have seen the reports from all sides. They are redundant, offer nothing new, and stretch the story with padding.

Yeah, if it's a symbolic book on the symbolic table, it's been teetering off the table for over a year now, but we have some people putting toothpicks underneath it to support it.

In my opinion, I believe that the only reason T... wants China to pay is because he OWES the Chinese for the loans he took out from them before he became President. After all I believe those loans, from China, Russia, etc. come due in 2023, which is why T... is trying so hard to get back into office, so he won't have to pay them back with his own funds.
