Like why? Just fry it like normal or bake it. You have an oven for a reason. A complete waste of money and its embarrassing if you own one. Rice cooker owners have nothing on Air Fryer owners.

Amirite?

First of all an air fryer doesn't "fry" anything. It's a convection oven combined with a deep fryer style basket.

Secondly, fries come out perfect every time. Baking them is a pain in the ass. You obviously can't pan fry them there's not enough space, and keeping / cleaning a deep fryer is a pain in the ass and would never get used for anything else while an air fryer does everything a toaster oven can do plus extra.

I have a ninja foodi and mainly use it for pressure cooking (or to quickly defrost something) and air fryer capabilities...

just throw in wings/nuggets/fries in, set to air crisp, select how long, then come back at the beep..extremely easy and convenient

My air fryer doesn't heat up the whole damn house when I use it, and that alone is a huge reason to use it considering I'm in Texas. It also cooks food faster and is easier to maintain than my oven.

fries can be pan fried very easily depending on how you slice the potatoes

You can probably do steak fries in a pan but the volume of doing julienne fries or anything similar makes it nearly impossible to get evenly cooked fries in a pan.

The air fryer finishes smaller meals in less time than it takes for my oven to preheat, wasting less electricity and heating up the house much less.

I have a basket style and the foldaway tray style. They're the best. My mother bought the tray Ninja one. I'm all about the basket, but I will say that doing salmon is easier in the tray, if I'm not outside grilling them.

It funny, I got a ride home from work last night, my friend was parked in a parking garage. When we walked in and went up the staircase it hit me that it smelled amazing. It took me a second, but then I realized there was a woodfired restaurant right next to it. ~It's probably one of the best smelling parking garages in the world!!

You can probably get one for that. I think the one I have is the "as seen on TV' which I try to usually avoid but I haven't had a single problem with this. Neither has at least 4 other people I know who have the same one.

https://amzn.to/3gAtnpN

Edit: Actually it appears very very close to what mine is but mine doesn't have an "inside basket" like this one does. It has something they call a "Fry tray" that fits in the bottom.

If you are using it instead of a traditional electric oven, almost certainly. Those are often on their own 50+ amp breaker.

The cooking time alone makes it worthwhile, even putting the crispy flavors aside.

I can cook up breaded chicken and broccoli in 8 minutes, and it tastes better than the oven, which would take 45 minutes to do it. I hardly use my oven anymore lmao, and it seems mind boggling to spend over an hour cooking a single potato in the oven, when it takes 10 minutes in an air fryer.

I always used to use microwave for veggies, but they taste like soggy garbage in comparison to the air fryer, which takes literally only 2 minutes longer than the microwave.

To top it off, a good air fryer is only like $70. It's a no-brainer.
