It's not really new AW. Just a remake of 1 and 2. Still a whole lot more recognition than the series has seen lately, though.

Yeah that's true.

Seems like a horrible use of the new style graphics to me. Like, the new C/O animations look awesome but those plastic units just don't look good. Especially when you put them on what looks like the same light green style map from the gba games.

BUT if anything this is to gauge AW's viability in today's market, which I think Wargroove has already pretty much proven. Let's hope a new entry to the series is a) made and b) doesn't look like Re-Boot.
