Other M is worse at it. At least Fusion disguises the linearity due to the map design. Other M's literal fucking hallways and locks doors behind you just in case you somehow would get lost.

But yes, I'd say all the 2D Metroids are still worth playing. Though when it comes to the first two Metroid games I suggest the remakes since they're wildly better.

Honestly, I think I liked both of those more than Fusion, so hearing about someone eager to play more after Fusion but ignoring both of those is kind of bizarre, but yeah, play them if you haven't.

Super Metroid is still the best one IMO (and the best SNES game overall - yeah, I said it), bit Fusion is second for me. It's linear, but it does manage to disguise it pretty well, and the atmosphere is incredible.

Ive only played a bit of Prime 3 and a bit of Samus Returns. Think Im gonna go back to SR
