Holy shit guys, dont get turf toe. Its fucking brutal. Two nights ago it flared up, yesterday was fine, but its flaring up again. Almost cried myself to sleep that night and only got two hours and had a full day of work the next day. The pain is just so real.

Took some ibuprofen and painkillers, hopefully they start kicking in soon

Omg what is turf toe?
Its a sprain on the muscle that connects your big toe to your foot, I guess not technically a toe injury but close enough I guess, thats what they call it

womens probably disagree

Most women who have experienced intense situations AND given birth have all said the trauma of, say, losing an arm etc are all more painful. So there's definitely a ceiling on the birth being the most painful thing.

I mean like they have organs especially for this purpose.

Their bodies also pump them full of oxytocin to help distract them from the pain during labor (and forget about it afterwards). When I was in physical therapy for tendinitis a woman who was in at the same time said that her plantar fasciitis hurt worse than giving birth did. I think its also different kinds of pain to consider, too.

Huh thats what I had twice last year. Didnt know that lol. Yeah its pretty horrible pain wise.

I got it from jumping down from a stool after changing a light bulb while barefoot. Pain came in full force and lasted a week. I was icing it daily and taking ibuprofen whenever I could. I had to work two 16 hour shifts in a row at the hospital and was dragging that foot and hopping the whole time. The worst pain was between trying to fit my shoe on my foot since it was so swollen or trying to lay down and sleep at night. Waking up every hour or less cause of the pain having to sleep on my back sucked majorly.

Very much so. Some people are made more for things too, unintentionally. I heard a lot of hardasses in the armed service could do all kinds of crazy shit but like, pepper spray will fuck them up for days. Childbirth is I suppose a natural pain as well so we've had time to evolve.

I worry for my gf in this regard though... She's 4'11" and 105 lbs, and I'm 6'4" and 250.... And my family traditionally has large babies. I was like 10 lbs when I came out.

I hear you. I have tendonitis in my left foot and ankle, I pretty much have to walk on crutches for 3-4 days when it flares up (at least a couple times a year)

just seems really out of left field to complain about women in a topic about turf toe

I think birth has to be more painful than turf toe considering the female pain tolerance is generally higher anyways, but blanket statements are blanket statements.

I'm not taking my gfs period cramps any day of the week, no sirreee bob

That was me two nights ago, kept getting up every hour, not knowing whether I had actually fell asleep or not.

That ibuprofen is starting to kick in so Im alright now, it was unbearable 20 mins ago.

I was defending womens. I'm sure if someone compared turf toe to childbirth to a woman they would get laughed at.
