It almost never gets snagged on stuff for me. The reasons I still use them are that they sound better, Im cheap and its easier to replace wired headphones for a low cost and Ive tried wireless headphones a couple of times and it feels awkward to me

Especially since most wireless headphones uses non-standard proprietary batteries that are a pain the arse to replace.

Yes, lets keep pushing a culture of disposable electronic headphones that inevitably will have it's proprietary sealed battery fail and the end user will throw it in the garbage to pollute the earth even more.

Most people won't take the time to disassemble the glued together wireless headphones or ear buds and replace their proprietary batteries.

So when they inevitably fail, they go in the land fill.

That's such a wonderfull future you keep on pushing, just to feed these corporations who don't bother to make headphones with easy to replace batteries that can be used for as long as the headphones are good.

The wired headphones I got in 2010 still work perfectly in 2021, making a lasting product is better then making a product designed to be thrown away.

TVs are a perfect example, older tv set could be fixed, the new tvs are designed to break after a few years so you buy a new one.

I agree with this, specifically the AUDIO section

The headphones I use to track and monitor mixes aren't expensive and basically use the same technology from when they came out.. tried and true Sony MDR-7506's that are my sonic microscope

But I mean in a practical sense wired just serves to preserve battery life. I carry light, I don't want an extra bag to carry an external bank or some bulky case in my pocket. I also feel like my airpods will jump out of my ear at any second and I'm too smart to spend on expensive equipment that doesn't really function the way I want to. I don't want to hear added frequencies that boost bass when I'm really trying to listen to the atmosphere of a given song.

It's definitely enjoyable though, I will give it that - to have this nice boom bass for certain styles of music is awesome but I enjoy a plethora of older music that doesn't need to have that.

Its not that big of a deal tc. If people prefer wired headphones then let them use it. I use both wired and wireless headphones. You are getting way too worked up over something so trivial.

If you want good sounding audio you have no other choice

I use wireless when Im out and about though. For my PC and consoles its always a high quality sennheiser headset

I will sometimes fall sleep with earbuds in so bulky wireless buds are a nope.

I like how TC doesnt have an answer for the people who just want high quality audio. Wireless headphones are so shit in this regard. Unlike TC I didnt blow out my eardrums listening to shit-metal music at max volume and I can still distinguish different instruments in the music I listen to.

Batteries.

Batteries is the main reason

Although i dont use the set i have much, because i dont need to, and my ears hurt if i wear them for more than an hour or 2.
