Just once though I wish the first release would be on PC and then the duplicate release a year later would be on consoles. It's always fucking PC players who have to wait.

I'd be very surprised if it doesn't end up on Steam eventually. Epic really hasn't been one to pay for indefinite exclusivity.

Of course, being Squenix, I could totally see the first episode being Epic exclusive, the second Steam, and the third on like Origin or something. Because Squenix.

lol, that's because the amount of people who play on consoles vastly outnumber the ones who play on pc.

there's no point in releasing a game on pc to the four people who will play it first, to the millions on consoles.

Mainly annoyances around EGS on Linux for me.
And the fact that I'm not really interested in buying a PS4 or PS5 when I have nowhere to put them, and no way to handle game audio.

Mostly, I just resent Epic for disrupting the market without bringing anything to the table. GOG offers older games and DRM-free stuff, Humble offers PWYW bundles that benefit charity... Epic, on the other hand, doesn't even have a shopping cart, and is instead competing purely by throwing money around to make competitors' stores look worse by comparison instead of improving their own service. I made an account for the sake of collecting the free games, but until they start offering me some sort of actual benefit, I don't plan on spending money there.

I am not bothered by using more then one storefront, I am bothered by using Epic Games Store. Simply put, they spend all of their resources trying to force people to use them with free games and exclusives rather than making a storefront that is actually comparable to something like GoG or Steam.

And of course you see that outside of video games. How many people want Walmart in their area simply for the fact they don't want to have to go to different stores for bread and pants? Or if you want an "on-line" example, Amazon?
