RadiantJoyrock 06/19/21 12:36:55 AM #1:	The general opinion I've heard is good but nowhere near Hereditary (or people who think it's bad, but most of them thought Hereditary was bad and are thus objectively wrong), but I just watched it and it's goddamn amazing. Wetterdew 06/19/21 1:00:58 AM #9:	Me watchign hereditary: ok this is fine, it's kind of interesting but not the mindblowing horror I was expecting based on the praise Me watching midsommar: OK so apparently this is just aster's schtick because Midsommar just feels like Hereditary painted a different color. I was bored. Start with extremely dark familial trauma, add in the occult who prey on the traumatized protagonist. It's not badly made, but it already feels formulaic to me. --- Talking about video games? it's ok to just disagree with each other on the internet. I didn't see the shorter version of it, but the pacing of the longer cut definitely helped the movie to get under my skin. Blazingly white hot visuals, too. Liked Hereditary a lot, as well. One thing the man does especially well is capture anguished screams, like from the mother in Hereditary.
