I've seen bee keepers do it in normal clothes before it's just a matter of moving slow and being non threatening.

Keep in mind that when a bee stings you it disembowels itself in the process and dies shortly afterwards so it's a last resort for them.

Obviously you shouldn't try this at home. Let professionals be professionals.
