I'm sure you can still get one from the local phone company, but I'm guessing they stopped giving them out to every single person because most people didn't need one and it was a massive waste of paper.

i deliver phone books once a year, its smaller than ever, still has white pages but the bulk of it is yellow pages and advertisements. Theyre addressed: Postal Customer [Street Address] so theyre the second least annoying type of full coverage piece I deliver. I looked into it and theres a way to opt out but it costs $12 per year to not get one lol

@DespondentDeity Hey, I had a strange question that maybe you could answer. If I live in one state, can I order a white pages for another state? Like I live in Arizona but want the white pages for Oregon?

Well there are websites you can order them from, but you use an address to identify which one you get and Im not sure you can use a different address to have it shipped to. I work for USPS, not the phone book company btw

Thanks for the response. I hope your USPS job is treating you well. Yeah, the question is actually for a book I'm working on that takes place in the 90s. I was thinking maybe you could order one from the hotline...I assume you would be able to, maybe you still can, maybe I'll try...
