Would Jesus love himself who fathered himself, which is kinda narcissistic or would he resent that he had himself tortured and killed for that same self-love.

Or maybe Jesus had a good relation with his adopted father Jojo, who is either a really chill guy or a total god-simp

Technically Jesus didn't father himself, and this is the sort of talk that could have gotten you burned to death for most of the last 2000 years.

What you're looking for is the Nicene Creed: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_versions_of_the_Nicene_Creed#Catholic_Church

Keep in mind, this shit was a major part of doctrinal arguments (and deciding who was a heretic and who wasn't). The main split between the Catholic and Orthodox churches is literally over a single word - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filioque

Imagine how advanced humanity would be right now if the energy we channelled into interpreting every word of a story for thousands of years was instead channelled towards solving real world problems.

We'd probably be dead, because we've always been extremely good at finding non-religious reasons to kill each other off just as much as we did religious ones. Pretty much the last thing we'd need would be someone inventing nukes 200 years early.

As much as angsty teens today will refuse to believe it (and let's be honest, when angtheists on the Internet complain about religion, what they basically mean is "just Christianity", and maybe "radical Islam"), religion did play a role in keeping a lot of cultures under control and somewhat pacified, preserved order in times when more secular systems were failing, and generally motivated as much as it hindered.

While a world without religion might be a radically different one, it wouldn't necessarily be a better one. Humans have an infinite capacity for being shits to each other regardless of what excuses we choose to justify it.
