Read this on Gamefaqs a few years ago and feel its still relevant:

"I think the decline of religion is positive for societal progress but there are a lot of things associated with religion that are going away and not being replaced with anything meaningful. community, shared values, charity, etc."

I still relate to this statement. Wish more people would be less afraid and actually socialized with each other. Society seems so closed off nowadays. No one has empathy anymore.

This is how I feel too. Well said.

Religion is problematic and toxic towards modern day issues like sexuality and gender.

All religions against gay marriage should be cancelled faster than JK Rowling.

And Twitter is problematic and toxic in that it supports arrogance and bad behavior while accusing anyone who has a problem with a aspect of this "anti-LGBT".

Twitter should be canceled, same for every single idiot on there, but that won't happen sadly.

Sounds like a good thing at first glance.

Thing is though, many people are just replacing traditional religion with goofy new age spiritual mystic beliefs and strange occult practices.

Replace one fairytale with another. The positive is generally less bigotry, but everyone's becoming weird af now. Instead of just talking about last night's hockey game at the bar, some goofball always strays the conversation into chakra alignment and ancient aliens or some shit.

Politics itself are like a religion to many as well. Perhaps even moreso than religion ever was funny enough.

But yeah I know way too many atheists who turn atheism into a religion all on its own

It is much harder to have societal morality without religion. I hate extremists, but the moral code on a basic level is fantastic. Additionally, churches/church communities do a lot of good for their areas. Plenty of people have benefited exceptionally thanks to religion.

This is not true. Ignorance is ignorance.

I've seen people on here on several educations proud/glad that they don't know anything about religion (specially the Bible). This is celebrating ignorance and obviously isn't exclusive to religious people.

This is how I feel. I was raised Christian and my Sunday school teachers did a great job of helping me through tough times in life. They taught me right from wrong, to forgive those who have wronged me, and accept others just as they are. They had no problem with homosexuals, and didnt try to convert every single person they meet. And every weekend they have a rotating schedule of members who donate food and volunteer their time to help out at a food kitchen.

Religions are widely accepted cults. Whether or not the intentions of people within are good or bad, they have you worshipping a 'greater being' and encouraging people to live a way outlined for them opposed to freely.

In addition, religious people are far more likely to believe in crazy-ass shit too, because they already follow this idea of an entity completely unproven.

The worst part is, if white people lose the majority, your scenario could happen. Put white people into "reeducation camps" to "atone for their crimes" while giving their wealth to black people. The mindset is already there and prevalent in America.

I'm not going to make any assumptions about 1/6 before an investigation happens because that could easily go into conspiracy theory territory.

But it is wrong of the Republicans to block the investigation and it's not surprising at all that people are suspicious of them. There's no good reason to not want an investigation of 1/6 unless you're playing sports team politics. Just because the rioters and the Republicans in Congress obviously would vote Republican in a two party system doesn't mean you should blindly support either of them.

Let's see what God said:

Genesis Chap. 3 : 16

New American Standard Bible

16 To the woman He said,
I will greatly multiply
Your pain [a]in childbirth,
In pain you shall deliver children;
Yet your desire will be for your husband,
And he shall rule over you.

To rule, or have authority over.

Now Paul said some suspect things about women:

1 Corinthians Chap. 14 : 34-35 states:

New King James Version
Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says.
If they wish to inquire about something, they are to ask their own husbands at home; for it is dishonorable for a woman to speak in the church.

Did God, or Jesus ever say such about women? Remember, Paul was a man, a sinner, like the rest of us....subject to misinterpretations and misunderstanding.
