66 y/o Mike Eruzione, the "Miracle On Ice" captain has hit back at America's first transgender athlete going to the Olympics when they once said if they won they would have BURNED the AMERICAN FLAG at the PODIUM to spite TRUMP!!

He thought it was a prank when he first heard that BMX Freestyle Rider, Chelsea Wolfe said she wanted to win at the Olympics so she could burn the flag but now the former ice hockey player realized it was real and is OUTRAGED!!

He went on Fox and Friends to vent his rage as the former ice hockey player scored a winning goal to defeat the Soviet Union in 1980 in a "miracle on ice" game and was baffled by that comment

He said "I actually couldn't believe it. I mean, first of all, burning the American flag anywhere is disgusting. To use your forum on the podium at the Olympics games, i was like really, could someone actually think about doing that?".

Her controversial comments came in protest of the Trump administration declaring that trans girls should be treated as "biological males" for school sports

She has since told Fox News that the post doesn't mean she doesn't care about her country but instead saying she wants to represent America to show it has morals and values

She qualified for the games as an alternate and will be the first trans athlete from the states to compete and said "Anyone who thinks that i don't care about the United States is sorely mistaken"

She will be the second known trans athlete there with already controversial, Weight Lifter Laurel Hubbard already competing

20-30 years ago, I'd have been unhappy with flag burning, but would have tried to understand the anger the burner was feeling. Now? Now I half-expect it of every reasonable person in the world.

You realize that, in Republican's minds, they're trying to improve America and the left are the ones seeking to destroy it, right? Having been one myself until a few years ago I know many see this not as some brave act trying to draw attention to problems, but as an overly-entitled brat willing to deface the flag on the international stage because of how 'oppressive' America while, at the same time, ignoring the fact that she competed against countries where even being anything but straight is a death sentence.

You're not going to win any argument about flag-burning if you're argument is 'when we do it it's a brave act of free speech to better America while all you want to do is destroy America'. All it's going to do is make you look like an unhinged loon.

Allow me to be frank. There's no way this action she's planning to do will help the LGBT cause. There's no way this action she's planning to do will help 'improve America'. At BEST she'll come off as an entitled brat willing to humiliate her country on the international stage. Nations like China and Russia will use her as an example of what's wrong with America. Meanwhile the trans community will come off as being anti-American and their efforts will be hampered by people not wanting to associate with them.

It's a bad idea. She shouldn't do it.

Society does need to change. We're trapped in a capitalist oligarchy in which the wealthy exploit the poor. Where not dying to a snakebite can easily mean $15,000 in debt. Where people would rather call an Uber than an ambulance because of fees. Where the poor are trapped in ghettos. Where pollution runs rampant and the environment is in dire straights...

But there is no force in the world that will make me think the solution to those problems is the group of whiny college brats in Portland who feel it's justified to create autonomous zones and plant utterly pathetic gardens 'reserved for PoC' people and act like their opponents are the devil incarnate.

I've heard it said that the right thinks the left is misguided while the left thinks the right is pure evil. I no longer agree with the right because of their inaction and inability to address important issues like climate change. Thing is I'm not even sure that what America has can be considered 'Capitalist' anymore. I'd say it's more of a corporate feudalism with companies like McDonalds and their CEO's replacing the noble houses of yesteryear. I remember it being said that, if the penalty for a crime is a fine, then it's a crime that only exists for the poor. It really feels like the average normal American is stuck living a low to poor lifestyle, priced out of large cities, and generally struggling to survive while corporate oligarchs can get away with basically whatever they want while fattening their wallet.
