I got my shot with someone I support through my job (he lives in a group home) so for his sake we needed to wait. If I had gone by myself I probably still would have waited.

Nope, they didn't tell me to either. I just walked right out.

When I got my shot they wouldn't give you your vaccination card until 15 minutes afterwards.

Since I have a history if past severe anaphylaxis, I was put on a watch closely list, so yeah. I think I waited 30 minutes too? Can't remember exactly.

Got it at wallgreen, lady said wait fifteen, I said ok imma look around, went down the chip aisle all nonchalant, threw a bag of jalapeo kettle cook chips over into the feminine hygiene aisle to cause a distraction while I did the roadie run out the in door

You can just walk right out, you know. It's just a guideline, not a rule. I don't have a history of adverse reactions, so 1 in 100,000 seemed like good odds to me.

I got mine at Publix. They told me to wait, but since we were near the dairy aisle I was able to throw several sticks of butter at the pharmacist to prevent him from chasing me

Yea. I waited 15 mins. They said 30 if you have any history of allergies.
It was cool tho cuz it wasn't very busy so I sat there chatting with the cute nurse for my 15

No, they only said I needed to wait if I was driving but I got a lift there so I was allowed to leave after the jab.

waited for 15. didn't understand the need i had someone to drive me to a hospital if i had some problem (i'm not known to have a severe reaction to shots).

Funny story. After getting my sceond vaccine, there were a bunch of high school kids having a BLM protest on the corner by the pharmacy. I joined them for 15 minutes and held their giant flag high for that time. They actually thought my stupid 44yo ass was cool lol

So many young assholes in pickup trucks drove by and threatened these kids. Very sad.

Yeah I was told I could wait wherever or wander around and buy stuff. It was hot that day and the room where I got the shot was cooler than the rest of the store so I just waited there and then bought a few things.

I did wait, better safe than sorry in this spot, allergic reactions can be really nasty even if extremely uncommon, its just 15 minutes anyway, browsing gamefaqs at home or sitting there waiting, whats the difference heh?

They made me wait the full 30 minutes, which wasn't a big deal because the next bus was scheduled for 60 minutes after I received the dose.

I waited about 15 after the first, maybe 10 after the second. The pharmacist said that usually anything "exciting" happens within a few minutes so 10 would be ok.

I didn't wait on the 1st shot or the 2nd shot. I probably should have to be safe, but I had to get back to work.

Mine was in a drive-through setting in a parking lot. They had lanes and made you wait. I was by myself, driving. If I felt ill while driving away, that would be bad.

My wife had 1st in CVS (2nd is tomorrow). we just walked around the store looking at stuff and picked a few things until the clock alarm went off. Then they gave her the card.
