You know what it takes to get to that 2%? Hospitalization, spending time in the intensive care unit, health workers working under brutal conditions, hospitals stretched thin. Surviving it doesn't mean you took a week off to play Smash Bros and then got well because you're in the 98%, it means you will probably go through an expensive, brutal procedure that is quite undignified too.

And then you are forgetting about the side effects, such as limited lung capacity, fucked up heart and impotence AKA covidick. Being in the lucky 98% doesn't mean you're back to the way you were before getting it.
