If we're to interpret the rules literally:

The right lane is where tow trucks and stuff can go 55 mph.

All other lanes, including the carpool lane, are supposed to go 65 mph. Not 70. not 75. Not 80. And certainly not 90+.

The world speeds though nothing new.

Slow traffic means people going below the speed limit. You arent allowed to go above the speed limit in a fast lane

Nothing to do with speed limits. If you're going slower than the car behind you, you get over to the right when it's safe to do so. You policing the speed of others doesn't help anything.

Nothing to do with policing others. Its about following the law. With some maniac speeder behind you, you cant judge what they will do safely or not. Just drive at the speed limit

there is no set number by which you are going "slow" vs "fast"

if you are going 99mph in the left lane with nobody in the right lane, and someone is going 101 behind you, you are the slower traffic and it is your responsibility to get over to the right lane.

Driving courteously and defensively is their #1 responsibility on the road, not to act as meta-police. Let the actual police deal with drivers that are a menace to others (call them if you must).

The left lane is the passing lane and should not be used unless in gridlock unless you are passing the people on the right.

In most states it's illegal to cruise the left lane, and even if not you're supposed to let people pass if they come up on you. There's a reason it's illegal in most states.
