The 5th amendment gives you a right to not incriminate yourself when facing prosecution. It doesn't apply to civil cases, and Cosby was asked to testify for one with the knowledge that his words couldn't be used against him in criminal court. Then a new DA came in and promptly did just that.

They're letting him go because prosecutors overstepped their legal bounds.

Not to mention he had made a new career before his arrest of "talk about how I was cancelled" and was doing very well.

He admitted to it, which is what allowed them to prosecute to begin with. And also what is now allowing him to go free, paradoxically.

Part of it is because it seems to many just yet another example of someone getting away with rape because they are rich. He's isn't going to face a proper punishment for his deplorable actions.

Don't like it? Blame the prosecutor who fucked up. If you oppose the decision, then you inherently support the state being allowed to lie to entrap people into forfeiting their constitutional rights.

I don't see what wealth has to do with it. The DA broke its promise and impinged on his rights.

A poor person likely wouldn't have the means to show this as would just be forgotten about once sent to jail. Obviously it comes down to whoever it was who originally fucked up, but it still remains a rapist is getting out free.

That's a huge fuck up
The bigger fuckup is treating civil tort as a secondary "justice" system, instead of a recompense system.
The concept of "there's not enough for a criminal conviction, so we'll just sue you into the ground" is the root issue here.
