awful month for En vtubering, it feels like everyone i pay attention to has done nothing but horror games, yakuza or fucking minecraft and Moona's now got short hair (this is by far the worst thing).

The Charzu/Reina body swap gimmick stream, Rosemi's shitposts, Selen's massive phasmo collab and Silvervale's black haired model have been my only positives in this lame month.

CharZu sounds so out of place lmao. She's a really bad singer and they gave her a song that doesn't fit her at all. Made worse coz she's right after Nene whose already done a few rap covers. Isla also sounds great, hoping she might do some more EN covers. One of the best EN Vtubers singers around, but has the Irys problem of never singing anything that isn't Japanese.

there's definitely a sizeable faction of vtubers that stream it on and off, and (after a few months of seeing a few people jumping across to pso2) more have been picking up the game as of late (notably, a number of re:act members picked it up a few weeks ago and still haven't dropped it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9J-Xs7OPEw).

probably more notably, cover itself clearly has a playerbase of its own, albeit mostly in holostars (miyabi and maybe shien are the two main ones that come to mind) but still, they totally could make a regular stream game out of it if they want to

Well when someone as major as Pekora streams, the gameplay is unwatchable.

Funny at first, but the army of people following her means you can't see anything beyond all the mounts. She effectively cannot play the game.

reminds me when Kiara was streaming WoW. I didn't watch the full thing but in the first few minutes she was quickly getting stalkers, telling them not to be too obvious, and from what I saw of her tweets by the end there was a whole gang

I figured it'd be something similar for every streamer with enough fans.
Though I don't really watch enough MMO streams to know if they just simp or grief.

Though I can imagine if they had permissions for From Software games, they'd either get invaded way too much or get people dropping way too good equips.

the artist and original creator of the orange juice/daidai jiru doujin circle, hono. he had barely any prior streaming experience before holostars, being barely active as an indie vtuber with a modest 70 subscribers, all oj fans. he's to blame for me entering the rabbit hole long before it was called that when he got kizuna ai to promote 100% orange juice way back in 2017. for the record, it's the other member of oj (Junpyon) that develops all the games, though he has some programming experience too. but yeah i'm sure that most people that know me associate me (if not with being that vtuber creep) with being a kind of superfan of that circle so it still shocks me that this is real

She actually finally started the game itself. I see that they're trying to block the screen whenever her character's name might be mentioned to avoid what happened to Asmongold and Pekora, but I think it's going a little TOO far.

And your character's name gets mentioned randomly in the dialogue many times...but I guess the work around now is to block the dialogue showing on screen.
