Or is it inherently wrong because not all people were actually free? I dont care much about the 4th of July to begin with, but Im seeing people make the argument that Juneteenth is a more appropriate time to celebrate. Seems plausible to me.

Most people dont even know what its commemorating or celebrating anyway.

Really? I dont think Ive ever met someone in the US who didnt know what the 4th of July is meant to celebrate.
