The way to play single player mode now is doing versus mode at 200cc with items disabled. Just straight up racing and no cheating by the CPU.

The game still "cheats" in the sense that cars behind you drive faster and cars ahead drive slower. In fact I'm pretty sure that's the most cheating it does. Getting good items far back applies to players as well as AI agents

Its not fun if the purpose of the CPU is to piss you off.

I lost count how many times I got hit with a blue shell at the end of the race costing me first place.

Or all the times I got zapped with lightning when jumping over a gap.

Or when the CPU can ricochet a green shell off a wall and hit me with precision.

Or when I get nailed with three green/red/blue shells in quick succession.

Here's a good one. Im in 3rd place tailing 2nd place CPU holding a red shell and 1st place CPU in front of 2nd. Instead of targeting 1st place, the 2nd place fires the red shell backwards at me.

But yeah, CPU in this game is totally fair *rolls eyes*

I wish you could just turn off blue shells. I hate when a competitive race with the top 3 gets decided by the dead last person that has no chance in the race.

TC should just sell his Switch and go play something like Gran Turismo or whatever.

Did you consider that you get hit at the exact same place over and over because you're keeping the same pace and it's a function of the relative placement of question mark boxes compared to your position? Or can you be more specific about what this script does
