It was going from Cold Steel 2 to 3 where people started recommending that I play all of the previous games, so I'd know who the new characters were lol. Personally, I got enough understanding by just watching summaries of the Liberl and Crossbell games on YouTube. You didnt have access to your quartz and weapons and basically had to start over. This is the number one reason Im not going to play this game on nightmare. If youve already finished the game, you should literally have the option to skip that part. If youre gonna play 3 next, its very similar, but there are some changes. Combat is mostly the same, but they added two mechanics that can be used to basically break the game. Also, be forewarned that lots of things happen in between two and three that are explained as the game goes.
