And with a bit more learning you can figure out how to join stuff together. I work for a database CRM. The reason for why this amazing gulf exists (i.e. everyone needs SQL developers and it's "easy") is because the scope for SQL is huge, per my previous post. I can find a thousand generic Sys Admin IT guys that say they know SQL, but finding an actual developer that can confidently write scripts and reports using SQL is rare. A lot of it is speed.
