Single players are great for the fact that you play at your own pace without having to stress out about dailies and online grinds. You don't have to deal with people online trolling you or beating your ass and dancing/taunting you. You don't have to deal with super tryhards who are 10x better you'll ever be and you won't have to worry about getting as good as they are. You don't have to play every second of every day just to keep up with the rest of the players.

Single player games are more fun, I agree. I understand the appeal of competitive games, but Im just not big on them. Even games Im really good at, I just get annoyed and unhappy more than anything.

You might be on to something. I went back this past weekend and tried to play some Dead by Daylight for the first time in over a year. I instantly remembered why I stopped playing to begin with. Not only is the community abysmally toxic, the game has become more and more buggy as the devs continue to cram 10 tons of shit into a 5'x5' box without ever fixing anything.

I only play single player. I'm not really good at games, but I still enjoy them. I play at my own pace. Even Dark Souls. Never once played online. There's only so much gud I have been able to get in any game in these several decades of me playing vidyagames. I don't mind cheesing to get through a tough fight. lol
Though I guess I have technically played online before. For Game Pass Quests that require you to play a match of X game. Or win a round of something or other. Kill X number of players or what have you. But for my pleasure, off line single player is where I get my joy. --- I use Google... A lot.... >______> ... Copied to Clipboard!

Multiplayer games are good for letting out some frustrations or stress though. Kicking ass and beating your competition is an amazing adrenaline rush.

Single player is best, but Multiplayer games have there place too; I just dont like the ones where people get overly competitive (CoD)

I've actually thought about that before. I play single player games 95% of the time, and I'm a really laid back person. It's always been cathartic and relaxing for me to just get lost in solo play, even for a harder game.

I need to find the right single player game then, I recently bought two of the "greatest" games to be released in the last 5 years and I was so bored of them (Mario Odyssey and BOTW) didn't even finish BOTW even if I was right there to finish the game... it simply stopped being enjoyable for me.

I've been drifting away from competitive games since I stopped playing TF2. It's been mostly single player and co-op for me lately. Been on that Deep Rock Galactic gravy train for a while now.

If I do play a multiplayer game, it's usually a PVE type of game. Otherwise yes I totally understand where TC is coming from. I remember being a toxic af person in my highschool year because I was all about being competitive and being #1 at everything I do. Whether it was playing basketball, being the teachers favorite, or video games. My personality took for the worst when I started playing in tournaments for CS:GO and LoL. I found myself constantly being overly aggressive to people if they do things wrong and even resorted to trolling to piss people off. When I graduated college and I had less time to game, I soon realize that my mental and even my physical health got 10 times better. My blood level didn't rise up as much, I became less angry and people even said I became a nicer person in general. When I do get that drive for exhiliration, I usually play games like Doom Eternal. I've come to appreciate single player games more than ever growing up now because I know with the personality I have, competitive multiplayer games really get to me.
